Congratulations to FCHS foreign exchange student Capucine Claeys for receiving the high honor of being chosen for the ILMEA All State Honor Chorus this past weekend! Of the tens of thousands who auditioned in the state of Illinois, she was chosen in the top 20 most skilled and talented singers. She performed with 600 other students at the ILMEA Honors Concert. Her skills as a singer have made FCHS proud! Go, Capucine!

Congratulations to Addyson Kiktavy!
Belin-Blank Center for Gifted Education and Talent Development, University of Iowa, in partnership with the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, is pleased to present Addyson Kiktavy with the Silver Key in Poetry. A panel of creative professionals recognized her shape poem entitled "Prompted Portrait" for its outstanding merit in originality, skill, and the emergence of her personal voice and vision. Since 1923, the Awards have recognized some of the nation’s most celebrated artists and writers while they were teenagers, including Tschabalala Self, Stephen King, Kay WalkingStick, José Parlá, Amanda Gorman, Charles White, Joyce Carol Oates, and Andy Warhol. We are proud to count Addyson among these esteemed Scholastic Awards alumni! We wish you continued success in your creative endeavors. Congratulations again on your achievement in the 2025 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards!

🏀Join us Friday Night January, 17th for our formal gym floor dedication. The Jed Foster dedication will take place in the Mule Barn between the JV and Varsity games. All three levels are playing Friday night beginning at 5:00. 🏀
