Important information on sports at Fairfield Community High School: As we are now allowed to participate in interscholastic sports in the state of Illinois, we are given more and more challenges each day on how to manage those contests. One of the biggest challenges is to provide an opportunity for our athlete’s families and friends to watch them play. We, at Fairfield Community High, feel that it is important to give all of our families some opportunity to watch their athletes, but we are mandated to stay within the confines of what the IHSA and IDPH has required of us. All of our athletes that are in season will be given passes to distribute to family or friends as they wish for ALL OF THEIR HOME GAMES. There will be NO GENERAL ADMISSION OR VISITING FANS ALLOWED. All of our contests will be streamed on various platforms we have available to us. The various organizations that have streamed our contests in the past have reached out to us, and FCHS will also be providing a stream for those contests not covered. We will post a weekly set of links on our Facebook page, Twitter feed, and school website, so those who are not allowed to attend will be able to view all of our games. When FCHS travels to other Black Diamond Schools we will not be allowed to have in-person fans. For our non-conference games, we will inform you on a game by game basis if visiting fans are allowed. The pass distribution for home contests will be as followed: THERE WILL BE NO CHARGE FOR THESE PASSES! PASSES WILL BE DISTRIBUTED TO STUDENT-ATHLETES NEXT WEEK FOR GIRLS AND BOYS BASKETBALL AND CHEERLEADERS! -All Senior Participants will receive 3 personalized passes -All Junior Participants will receive 2 personalized passes -All Sophomore Participants will receive 1 personalized pass -All Freshman Participants will receive 1 personalized pass (On nights of 3 games we will ask all Freshman parents and athletes to leave after the first contest unless they are dressing for the JV or Varsity game) If more ticketing opportunities come available we will distribute them equally based on the level of a contest to athletes or other FCHS students. We ask upperclassmen parents not to arrive at the gym before 6:15 on nights of 3 contests. This will allow for the conclusion of the freshman game and for those fans to exit. Upon entry into the gym, we will ask everyone to sign in and self-certify with a member of the game staff that they are compliant with IDPH COVID-19 protocols. All seating will be upper deck seating that will be marked to establish social distancing measures. Family members are allowed to set in groups. All participants will be required to wear masks unless they have an underlying health condition. No concessions will be served. We understand everyone’s frustration with the restrictions that have been placed on us. If there is any chance that more seating or tickets at road games come available we will do everything in our power to make accommodations. Over the last several months we have fought for our children’s opportunity to play, and now we have that. Let’s stay positive, work together, and enjoy FCHS sports for our kids and community. GO MULES!!!

Attention sports fans!! High School sports are back. We are currently working on schedules and all of the particulars on what can and cannot happen. Please be patient as we work through these items in the coming days. Hopefully by the weekend we will be able to give everyone concrete schedules and fan limitations. There will be items that we must abide to keep sports going and understand all of us will not like some of those rules, but in the end our student athletes are getting to play!! Stay tuned!Go Mules!
