🛠️The home maintenance class heard from guest speaker Jamon Vaughan from JMV Land. Jamon stopped by to demonstrate some ground leveling techniques out by the greenhouse. Once the ground is ready, students will get to work building a small storage shed.
Yesterday, Mrs. Braddock’s Interior Design class put color theory into action! 🎨🧁 Students used the three primary colors, red, blue, and yellow, to mix and create new colors while learning how different color combinations are used in interior design. The best part was getting to eat their creations when they were finished!
🎣 Lifetime Activities took advantage of the beautiful weather with a little fishing!

Many military recruiters visit our campus and put on educational and entertaining programs for our classes and students throughout the year. These recruiters often ask for our students contact information. Below is what we are required to share unless an opt-out is sent.
How to Opt Out:
Submit a written request to your FCHS registrar, Cassy Fuller at cfuller@fchsmules.com or 300 West King, Fairfield, IL 62837. Include your child's full name and birthdate. Clearly state you do not want their name, address, or phone number released to military recruiters. Keep a copy of the request for your records.

Local law enforcement has confirmed that the situation in our community is under control and there is no longer a potential threat. FCHS will always act on the side of caution when it comes to the safety of our students and staff.
As stated before, there was NO threat on or near FCHS at any time. All students and staff were safe, and normal classroom activities continued with additional safety precautions in place for the exterior of the building. Students who are off campus for class were accounted for, rerouted, and nowhere near the potential threat. Students who were scheduled to be released at 1:20 were held until 1:35 p.m., when local law enforcement gave the district the all-clear in the community.

Our Intro to Computer Science students have been putting their programming skills to work! 🤖
Students designed and built their own tape mazes, then programmed a robot to navigate through them. They also translated their programs from a visual coding environment into text-based code, comparing how the same logic works across different programming languages.
