Did you miss the opportunity to give the gift of life in November at the last FCHS blood drive? You have another chance...next Tuesday, March 23. The FCHS Student council is holding the spring Red Cross sponsored blood drive on Tuesday, March 23, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the girls' gym. Any FCHS student who is 16 years of age or older is eligible to be a blood donor. No parental permission form is needed if you are 18 years of age or older. Students who are 16 and 17 years of age must bring a signed parental permission form. These are available in the main office next to the sign up sheet. Did you realize that every pint of blood that is donated helps three different people? Your pint of blood is divided into red cells, platelets, and plasma. Any of the three parts of your pint of blood could save a life! Did you know that young people or children that require blood transfusions must get blood from young people such as you? Your blood is very important...so, please sign up now in the main office or with any Student Council member. And, thank you in advance to all FCHS students or faculty who will be giving the gift of life. Sign up now in the office to choose your time between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. for next Tuesday, March 23!
