Introduction

Fairfield Community High School's strong athletic offerings are popular among the student body, allowing our school to compete in many sporting areas.

Black Diamond Conference

We compete as a member of the Black Diamond Conference, along with the Carmi/White Co. Bulldogs, Christopher Bearcats, Eldorado Eagles, Elverado Falcons, Sesser-Valier Red Devils, Hamilton Co. Foxes, Trico Pioneers, Johnston City Indians, Zeigler-Royalton Tornadoes, Vienna Eagles, and Chester Yellow Jackets. The Black Diamond Conference, or "The Diamond" as it is known, is a strong conference, producing a strong competitive mindset among teams.

Illinois High School Association

The FCHS Athletics Department is coordinated in conjunction with the Illinois High School Association, which allows our school to complete in the following athletic classes: A, 1A, 2A.

Ultimate Purpose of Athletics

Our athletics department exists to provide student-athletes with the opportunity to compete in a popular sport of their interest, while they receive a quality education consistent with the mission of our school. The athletics experience is an extension of the educational process whereby student-athletes acquire the skill, characteristics and self-confidence that will enable them to reach their full potential, both in athletics and in life.
