FCA will be meeting in the big gym at 8:00 A.M. tomorrow morning(Thurs.) for prayer for Brittney and her family. We want to encourage all teachers and students to attend to show the Coleman family our concern.
The FCHS Student Council is organizing a benefit for the Coleman family. On Friday, March 28, there will be a Game-A-Palooza in the east gymnasium. From 8-11 P.M., there will be a variety of games and competitions for both individuals and teams. Also, there will be an air band and lip sync contest. For a $10 donation, FCHS students can enjoy games and refreshment. More details will soon be available. If a club or organization would like to help, please contact Brandon Lee, Kyla Basnett, or Katelyn Baker.
HEY STUDENTS!! It’s HATS ON DAY! You get to wear a hat to school. It only costs a buck, and it goes to support children who lose their hair from chemotherapy. FCHS is participating in honor of our very own Charsie Haygood. Buy a sticker all next week during the lunch hours in the cafeteria or the breezeway and you can wear a hat to school on Friday, March 14!

The 2008 After-Prom
Talent Contest will be held next Friday, March 14, in the east gym. Great prizes will awarded - First Place $350

Students interested in taking the ACT on Saturday, April 12, are reminded that Friday(Mar. 7) is the last day for regular registration. Students are encouraged to register online; however, registration packets are available in the guidance office.
Art contest entries are being accepted in the FCHS library through April 4. The categories are: sketches, painting, color drawings, landscape photography, life photography, calligraphy, and poetry. The first place winner in each category will receive a $10 Wal-Mart gift card. So enter some items and see what happens . . . . .
Guidance has received the Hutchison Foundation Scholarship applications. Students must be a senior in high school, have a minimum of 2.5 GPA, have a minimum of 18 on the ACT, be involved in school and community activities, demonstrate a financial need, and must pursue a degree at an accredited university, college or community college. The deadline to apply is April 3, 2008. See Guidance for an application.
Guidance has received applications for the A. Orlen Brach
Scholarship. This is open to
students who are not completing a degree program in a four-year college or
university. The school shall be within
the State of
Guidance has received the tuition waiver applications for Lincoln Trail College. For full consideration, all materials concerning this waiver must be returned to LTC today, March 3, 2008. Go to the guidance office for an application.
Applications for the Wayne
County Farm Bureau Foundation Scholarship and the Wayne County Farm Bureau Youth
Leader Scholarship may be picked up in the guidance office. These scholarships will be awarded to high
school or college students who reside in
SOPHOMORES, DON’T FORGET!! Your fundraiser items will be in today(Wed.) and you need to pick them up after school today in the gym lobby.
Reminder to teachers: Awards Day orders are due tomorrow(Thurs.). If you plan to give an award at Awards Day, please give your order to Mrs. Kakac by tomorrow.
